As quite a fan of old/new "fusion", I love pieces that give new life to lost and forgotten household treasures, and this is exactly the ethic behind UK based
Jamesplumb . Created by designers Hannah Plumb and James Russell, the team work to "expose the hidden beauty in the everyday", producing assemblages from discarded items, that retain their original "character and authenticity" yet "create something entirely new". the results are elegant and unique such as this "Cluster Chandelier" made from lampshades:

The below interior includes a silk screen luminaire created from an original 1930's Lyon silk screen. the effect is warm and luxurious :

The same technique has been applied to screens from Kolkata in India :

And to finish : "Sampson." Whose long lost head has been replaced with a pub sign light. I might request the same when the time comes...
